In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Town Clerk, Town Administrator, and the Listers’ Office have taken appropriate action to mitigate the spread of the virus.

Virtual Reopening of Town Offices

On Monday May 18th we will continue remote services at the Cambridge Town Offices. Services will be available by telephone, eMail, and on the town website. There will be no walk-in services available at this time, and all in-person visits are by appointment only. 

Please visit for a list of available local services. Most services have been made available online so that personal visits are not needed. You may call 644-2251 and we will assist you with your needs. The best way to reach us is still by eMail at After speaking to you, If we are unable to meet your needs remotely, we may schedule a time for you to visit the office. Due to distancing and safety mandates, walk-in customers will not be accommodated unless scheduled in advance.

There are a number of research tools available for legal documents and other property information. Please visit for complete information. Research visits will be accommodated by appointment only. We encourage all researchers to first visit before calling for an appointment.

We encourage everyone to follow CDC and U.S./VT Department of Health handwashing and social distancing recommendations.

However, keep in mind that social distancing also results in social isolation.  This is an important time to be a good neighbor.  With social distancing caution, please check in periodically with your neighbors and other community members who are homebound, frail, elderly, or subject to loneliness.
